Fountainhall at the Cross (formerly Queen’s Cross, Albyn Place) welcomes the Madison Youth Choirs from Wisconsin, USA, for a choir concert this coming Sunday, June 18 at 7.30 pm.

In collaboration with St Andrews Voices, and Festival Director Amanda MacLeod (former director of AIYF), Madison Youth Choirs return to Aberdeen as part of their current Scottish tour, their first international tour since the end of the pandemic. Apart from their unique concert in Aberdeen, their 2023 tour will bring the young choirs to perform also in Stonehaven, Dundee, St Andrews, and Stirling.

Founded in 2023, Madison Youth Choirs forms singers of all experience levels who participate in a wide variety of choral programs and collaborations with local, national and international organisations, giving the youngsters wonderful opportunities to thrive in the arts and an invaluable experience.

This would be the second time that the Madison Youth Choirs perform in Aberdeen after their visit during the Aberdeen International Youth Festival in 2019 to this same venue, Queen’s Cross, which recently became Fountainhall at the Cross. Taking the lead of Queen’s Cross, Fountainhall at the Cross (Albyn Place) offers professional spaces to hire for formal or informal events, from business meetings in their fully AV equipped Garden Room to cultural events which can fully enjoy the exceptional acoustic of the main church. The hirers at Fountainhall at the Cross can also benefit from the hospitality services of Cognito at the Cross, the onsite café.
