A flying Father Christmas hovers his sleigh three times a day above the Town Hall from November 22 to December 23 and each Saturday in Advent features a festive parade.
Frankfurt Christmas Market from Bristol - Romerberg Square, Paulsplatz, Mainkai, Hauptwache and Friedrich Stoltze-Square – flybmi fares from £104 one way
Frankfurt Christmas Market is one of the oldest, largest and most popular in Germany and is a showcase for arts and crafts, and seasonal food and drink. With over 200 stalls in four picture postcard settings, entertainment includes concerts, trumpet fanfares from the balcony of St. Nicholas’s Church and bell ringing from the church carillon. The huge Christmas tree acts as a spectacular centrepiece. The market runs from November 26 to December 22, 2018 from 10am – 9pm daily (11am on Sundays).
Brussels Winter Wonders and Christmas Market from East Midlands, Bristol and Newcastle – flybmi fares from £75 one way
From November 30 – January 6 Brussels plays host to its Winter Wonders and Christmas Market 2018. Amongst the highlights are 200 chalet style stalls, fairground attractions, covered ice rink and a Christmas Tree and sound and light show at the Grand Palace.

Staged simultaneously across seven locations, Dusseldorf is a magical Christmas spectacular between November 22 and December 30.
