In a sign of renewed confidence across the Aberdeen business community, BlueSky Business Space in Westhill is witnessing a surge in demand for its modern, fully serviced office spaces.

With options ranging from two-person offices to bespoke setups for teams of up to 40, the centre provides a flexible, tailored solution for businesses at all stages of growth.

Angela Ritchie, general manager, said: “We’ve noticed a marked increase in enquiries from businesses looking to expand or relocate. It’s encouraging to see so many organisations in the region planning for growth and we’re delighted to be part of their journey.”

The business centre’s adaptability has been a key factor in its success. Offering fully furnished, serviced offices combined with professional support services, the centre creates a seamless environment where tenants can focus on growing their businesses while leaving the day-to-day operational tasks to an experienced team.

Among the centre’s long-standing tenants is Granite Occupational Health, which has been based at BlueSky for over seven years, occupying a 2,085 sq ft office suite.

Employing 18 people in Aberdeen, the company provides a comprehensive range of occupational healthcare services, including medicals, assessments, consultations and counselling, empowering employers to take a proactive approach to workplace and employee health challenges.

Jen McHugh, business manager of Granite, commented: “The centre has been an integral part of our growth. The flexibility of the office spaces has allowed us to scale up as we’ve expanded and the support services have been invaluable in enabling us to focus on what we do best.”

New to the centre is Vysus Group, a leading engineering and technical consultancy. The company has just signed-up for an 1,100 sq ft office suite and will take occupation in March, moving 20 staff from another base in Westhill.

Grant Cooper, head of business services of Vysus, shared: “We were looking for a space in Westhill that could meet our unique requirements and also be convenient for our staff. The team at BlueSky exceeded our expectations and we’re excited to grow our business here.”

Vysus Group offers a specialist asset performance, risk management and project management expertise across complex industrial assets, energy assets (oil and gas, nuclear, renewables) and the energy transition, working on complex and large-scale energy projects around the world.

The journey of Conntrak Catering Services, an independently owned company which focuses solely on the provision of catering services in the offshore oil & gas, marine and renewables market, highlights the centre’s commitment to its tenants during challenging times.

After downsizing to a virtual presence in Aberdeen during the Covid pandemic, the company has recently made the strategic decision to focus on the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico as the next phase of its structured expansion, with Andrew Thomson joining to head up this dual location, operating from a small office suite at BlueSky.

Andrew Thomson, managing director - North Sea and Gulf of Mexico at Conntrak, said: “The opportunity to grow our Conntrak portfolio across the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico is really exciting. With the level of maturity in the market we feel there is a clear potential to unlock innovative solutions that will drive the highest standards of service and quality by attracting the best people to join our team.

“We are thrilled to be operating from BlueSky in Westhill. The team here supported us every step of the way, offering flexibility and understanding. They made it easy to find the perfect setup for our needs. It’s been a real lifeline for us, and we’re thrilled to be back. The centre is an excellent hub for our business and we look forward to increasing our customer base.”

With its strong sense of community, excellent facilities, and strategic location, BlueSky Business Space is attracting businesses from across Aberdeen and beyond. From ample parking and high-speed internet to on-demand meeting rooms, the centre’s comprehensive offering supports organisations looking to thrive in a dynamic and professional environment.

Angela Ritchie added: “It’s a privilege to see businesses flourishing here, whether they’ve been with us for years, are just starting out, or are returning after a challenging period. We’re committed to providing the right environment for success and look forward to welcoming more businesses to BlueSky in the months ahead.”
