Bucksburn-based chemicals manufacturer and supplier FIS has unveiled a refreshed brand identity and newly-built website this month.
Originally established in 1980, FIS works with businesses across a variety of sectors — including oil and gas, renewables, marine, hospitality, water treatment, automotive and industrial cleaning. Their R&D capability allows them to develop new solutions for customers and improve upon prior products, year on year. This new brand identity is a natural progression for a business that has been operating for over 40 years, formulating and distributing products that are widely utilised in both the domestic market and internationally. It reflects their ambition to change perceptions on chemicals, evolve the business and continue to offer a ‘smarter’ solution for each customer.
The new FIS website is a significant expansion on the prior edition, and provides greater depth and context to the business, its approach, the key people involved and their commitment to cleaner, greener chemistry. The site also includes a selection of best-selling products for visitors to browse, across their main customer sectors.
Kenny Woods, CEO: “The new FIS brand is bolder, cleaner and better at communicating our aims and ambitions as a business. Our new website is a great showcase for this renewed identity and also for what we offer customers in all kinds of industries — from simple, effective janitorial products to highly-specialised industrial ranges. I’m excited to launch them both and very optimistic about utilising them to their fullest in the months and years to come.”
The ‘cleaner, greener’ approach is not a new idea for FIS, who have had solar panels and a wind turbine on-site since 2010 — offsetting the energy usage of their HQ. As well as supplying the renewable energy sector, FIS specialise in products that support all kinds of operations with minimum impact on the natural environment.
FIS Chemicals continues to grow and expand its product and service offering following its management buyout in Oct 2020 — which was backed by private equity partners, Foresight and Maven. It is led by an experienced management team in Kenny Woods (CEO), Gordon Davidson (FD) and Derek Mathieson (Chairman), who are supported by their operational, sales and admin team.
FIS engaged Aberdeen-based brand and digital agency FortyTwo Studio to oversee their brand and website development projects.
