Financial Services firm set to bring a barrel of laughs to Ellon

An Aberdeen based financial services company is pledging its support to a local comedy club by bringing a well-known comedy show to Ellon.

Phil Anderson Financial Services, which was established in 2011 and has offices in Aberdeen, Ellon and Caithness, is sponsoring Breakneck Comedy’s Ellon show to bring a selection of established Scottish comedians to the town.

The financial firm, which specialises in mortgages, insurance, investments and pensions, has agreed to be the main sponsor of the event for a second time. The event will take place on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the New Inn in Ellon.

Breakneck Comedy, which was established in 2011, specialises in bringing top comedy acts from across Scotland to towns all over the North-east.

Graham Machie, a well-known, established, Scottish comedian who regularly performs in Glasgow, will be the main act for the evening and other top Scottish comedians including Gus Lymburn, The Wee Man and Stu Who will also perform.

Phil Anderson, managing director of Phil Anderson Financial Services, said: “I am delighted that we are sponsoring Breakneck Comedy’s Ellon event for a second time this year. I contacted Naz Hussain last year about the comedy shows, as I wanted to help give the people of Ellon and the surrounding area the opportunity to experience one of the comedy shows.

“The last event we organised was very well received by the community and it sold out, with over two hundred people attending. I am really looking forward to welcoming everyone to the next show and can’t wait to see what the comedians have in store for us.”

Naz Hussain, owner of Breakneck Comedy, commented: “The comedy show in Ellon was extremely popular last year and I have no doubts that our next event in the town will be just as, if not more, successful than the last. The comedy line up we have is phenomenal and I am looking forward to welcoming some previous and new faces to the event.

“We have hosted a number of events this year already and this is a great line up to round off another successful year of comedy shows.

Doors for the event open at 8pm with the show beginning at 8.30pm. Tickets cost £10 per person and are available from Phil Anderson Financial Services, The New Inn or online at www.breakneckcomedy.co.uk.
