Fifth Ring strengthens global digital offering with new appointment

Global energy marketing communications agency, Fifth Ring has strengthened its international offering with the appointment of Rory Patience as digital business manager.

Mr Patience will support the firm’s offices in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America and will be based in Aberdeen.

This newly created role is a significant step for Fifth Ring as it develops a more sophisticated offering of digital marketing services which includes website design and development, social media strategy, digital advertising and marketing automation. The agency has also invested significantly in developing a robust measurement and analytics offering to drive improvements across all aspects of customers’ online marketing activities directly linking marketing activity to sales outcomes.

Mr Patience has more than a decade of digital marketing agency experience having previously held senior roles at leading agencies AKQA, Pod1 and Dog where he worked on global projects for clients including Nike Football, Manchester United and UEFA.

Since joining, Rory has already helped Fifth Ring secure a new contract for the provision of social media advertising with a major UK educational establishment, and has been working with some of our biggest clients on highly successful content marketing campaigns.”

In addition, Kevin MacIver has been made group head of finance, also based in the Aberdeen office. He brings 24 years of chartered accountancy experience and was previously the managing director of Enviroco Limited.

Suzanne Yap has been appointed as the new head of public relations in Singapore. Ms Yap offers more than 15 years of public relations experience at some of the world’s biggest agencies, she will oversee all APAC operations and Fifth Ring’s growing presence in the region.
