Fifteen new homes to be created following DM Hall’s sale to developer of St Agatha’s Primary School in Kirkintilloch

Acting on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council, DM Hall, one of Scotland’s largest independent firms of chartered surveyors, has completed the sale of the former St Agatha’s Primary School in Kirkintilloch.

The property, on a one acre site at the corner of Gartshore Road and Waterside Road, has been sold for an undisclosed sum to developer, Panacea Property, which aims to convert the original sandstone buildings into six flats and nine new build houses comprising a mix of detached, semi-detached and terrace houses, each with car parking and landscaping.

Graeme Todd, a partner in the agency department of DM Hall’s Glasgow office who oversaw the sales process, said: “following an extensive marketing exercise, we secured considerable interest in the site which led to the setting of a closing date and the receipt of eight offers focused upon various proposals for residential development and conversion”.

Bruce Lindsay of Panacea said: “construction will be starting at once and completion is programmed for early 2021, although advance marketing will get under way during the course of next year”.
