International School Aberdeen (ISA) will open its doors for a whole school Open Day on March 1 where families and children of all ages are welcome to explore the facilities and meet the teachers.
ISA Open Days are a great opportunity for both local and expat families to step into the world of an independent, international school just 10 minutes from Aberdeen city centre.
The ISA campus on North Deeside Road boasts excellent facilities with the Open Day offering prospective families the chance to tour the pool, theatre, gyms, three storey library, science and design labs, the art, music and drama studios, spacious classrooms and incredible outdoor learning spaces.
Families will receive a warm welcome from Head of School, Nick Little, who will provide a first-hand, honest insight into life at the school.
“We look forward to welcoming all interested families, not only those who may be new to Scotland, but also local families looking for something different when it comes to their children’s education,” said Nick.
“Our Open Day will give people a chance to experience for themselves the level of care that makes ISA so special.”
ISA is proud of its global outlook that sits alongside its heritage in the North-east, with 50% of its student population of 530 coming from the local area.
As the only international school in the region, ISA welcomes children from age 3 to 18 with the school split into pre-school (ages 3-5), elementary (ages 5-11), middle school (ages 10-14) and high school (ages 13-18).
Students are given the opportunity to embrace a different kind of learning driven by a culture that focuses on children for who they are as individuals. The encouraging, supportive, and caring environment inspires children to build a passion for learning from a young age.
Student wellbeing sits at the heart of everything ISA stands for as the school equips students with the tools they need to build a strong foundation for the future.
It’s no wonder ISA’s student population has increased year on year with the school population now sitting at just over 530 as it continues its pledge to create positive learning environments within a community of inclusion and belonging. Academic progress is one piece of the puzzle alongside ensuring a child is developing emotionally, socially and behaviourally.
Assistant Elementary School Principal, Paul Bertolotto, leans on past experience working in over 100 other schools and Universities when considering ISA’s mission to provide excellence in education and exceptional care for every child, “I can honestly say I’ve never worked in a school that provides such a holistic experience and care for children than ISA. Children experience their learning at our school through real life meaningful engagement with their community and it is from these experiences that children learn at their best.”
With small class sizes and first-rate learning, language and counselling support, your child will thrive thanks to the foundations of care from an independent, international approach to education at a locally based school.
