Eztek Limited, an Aberdeen based surface instrumentation company, has announced the successful completion of its management buy-out.
Robin Hunter, formerly general manager of Eztek, and his wife Cherylle, purchased Eztek from its founder Bert van Tuijl earlier this month. Robin has changed his position to that of company managing director.
Both Robin and Cherylle have worked for the company for many years. Robin started as a sales and marketing manager in August 2007, becoming general manager in 2011. Cherylle has been involved in purchasing since 2013.
Eztek designs and manufactures a wide range of harsh environment and hazardous area topside electronic instrumentation with the stated goal of improving efficiency, increasing safety, and reducing operational costs.
Bert founded Eztek over 30 years ago, using his experience in the oil and gas industry to develop products that would make operations run more smoothly. Now Eztek systems are used globally in the energy markets and Eztek has local partners in various locations including the Middle and Far East. Bert will remain with the company on a part time basis and will continue to support the business with his wealth of electronic design knowledge.
"We have over 30 years of success on which to build and we're excited about the prospect of further developing the company,” said MD, Robin Hunter. “It promises to be an exciting and immensely rewarding journey for us, our staff, our suppliers and customers alike. I would like to thank Bert for his leadership, guidance and support and wish him well on his semi-retirement."
Eztek is also very thankful for the loyal clients they have served over the years, including Expro, Halliburton, Proserv, Weatherford, Subdrill, TIS and more.
