EY Aberdeen is gearing up for their toughest challenge to date - 303km from Aberdeen to the source of the River Don, the source of the River Dee and back to Aberdeen via Braeriach and the Lairig Ghru!

On 25 June, a team of intrepid Tartan Traipsers will embark on the challenge to raise money for one of Aberdeen’s leading charities - Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFC CT).

The challenge starts with a 105 km cycle out to Corgarff followed by the

198km walk through the Cairngorms and Royal Deeside back to Aberdeen

Football Club Community Trust’s home at Pittoddrie.

Derek Leith, EY Aberdeen senior partner, commented: “This is our toughest challenge to date and I'm delighted we have 45 members of the team talking part in the Tartan Traipse. Personally, I'm most looking forward to kicking off the Traipse with the cycle to Corgarff and the walk the beautiful but challenging Lairig Ghru. Hopefully, the weather will be kind!"

He added: “Leaving our computers and desks for a while to raise £25,000 for our charity partner will be tough but our pleasure. EY Aberdeen is proud to support the Community Trust and the contribution they make to tackle social issues in the City of Aberdeen.”

The funds raised by the EY Team will enable the Community Trust to provide more opportunities to more people and change more lives for the better.
