Albyn School, one of Aberdeen’s leading independent schools, is opening its doors this Saturday for an open morning event designed to give prospective families an in-depth look into the Albyn School experience.
From engaging classrooms and dynamic teaching to a vibrant co-curricular offering and state-of-the-art facilities, this event is an excellent opportunity to experience the community, values and education excellence that Albyn School offers.
Taking place tomorrow, Saturday November 2, from 9am, the event is open to families who are interested in admissions for nursery, primary and secondary level, allowing attendees to tour facilities and engage with staff and current pupils.
Albyn School is also home to the Aberdeen French School, which offers a hybrid curriculum, and visitors can find out more about Scotland’s only accredited French School.
During the open morning, families will have the opportunity to be taken on guided tours around the school and nursery to allow a fully immersive experience into life at Albyn.
They can step foot into their innovative classrooms, fitness suite and libraries, explore the state-of-the-art engineering and science centre where pupils can learn CAD software and 3D printing, and browse around their brand new music rehearsal rooms and recording studio.
Albyn’s teachers are known for their passion, expertise and dedication. Families can meet teachers across all year groups and learn more about the curriculum and enrichment programmes.
Albyn School offers a diverse range of co-curricular activities from sports teams and music ensembles, to language clubs, Formula 24, and arts and crafts.
The open morning gives visitors the opportunity to see the Combined Cadet Force in action and enjoy performances in drama, music and debating, allowing prospective families to experience first-hand the activities they could be involved in.
One of the best ways to learn about the school is through conversations with current pupils. Pupils will be on hand to share their personal experiences and highlights to date.
For parents of younger children, Albyn’s nursery facilities will be open for exploration and play.
With its nurturing environment it is specifically designed to foster curiosity and a love for learning in its youngest pupils.
Albyn School supports a range of bursary awards for children who might not otherwise be able to attend.
The open morning offers a dedicated talk on bursaries so you can fully explore these options.
Known for its high academic standards, Albyn School places a strong emphasis on creativity, resilience, community and wellbeing.
Whether your child is just starting in early years or preparing for senior school, Albyn offers a supportive environment designed to bring out the best in every pupil.
