A few months ago, Consortiq had the privilege of sponsoring a group of brilliant aerospace engineering students from the University of Southampton for their final-year project.
The mission was to design and build a cutting-edge UAV for high-speed medical deliveries.
The results have been nothing short of extraordinary.
The team created what's considered the best aircraft the university has seen in a decade and their UAV can hit speeds of 90+ mph and carry a 1kg payload over a 20km autonomous mission.
The innovative design requires no take-off assistance or landing gear, maximizing aerodynamic efficiency
Consortiq are proud that its support helped these talented young engineers push the boundaries of what's possible.
