Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over seven years (2014 to 2020). However, priorities and streams have changed from previous funding rounds. Therefore it is timely to look now at opportunities for applications to be made next year.
Stuart Bews, External Funding Policy Executive, is an experienced European officer and will advise on opportunities within the appropriate strand for AREG members. This is the “Secure Clean and Efficient” strand and he will introduce the basic principles of Horizon 2020, grant funding levels and eligible activity. For Horizon 2020, it is more important than ever that applications to the characteristics of the strand.
Stuart is also offering one-to-one sessions on December 9 with individual AREG members on the day should they wish more detailed advice on whether or not their idea or project is likely to be eligible.
