At a sparkling presentation ceremony for this year’s Catering in Scotland Excellence Awards at the Hilton Glasgow on Thursday May 26, Entier were thrilled to pick up the Healthier Scotland Award for their work for Apache Corporation, through its North Sea subsidiaries.
Positioned as the industry’s ultimate accolade, these awards recognise and reward the exceptionally high degrees of creativity, innovation and excellence in Scottish catering, hospitality and tourism.
Sponsored by the healthyliving award, in association with NHS Health Scotland, Healthier Scotland Award recognises organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to supporting and promoting healthier eating. Over the last seven years Entier has worked with Apache and renowned nutritional experts, Rowett Institute, to create an environment of healthy eating and wellbeing.
This was welcomed and piloted with all nine Apache assets – seven offshore units, SAGE Terminal at St. Fergus and the restaurant at Caledonia House, Apache’s U.K. HQ, allowing Apache employees, contractors and visitors to make healthier choices whilst still enjoying high quality, appetising food. All nine Apache assets have the Healthy Living Award, demonstrating consistency across all units offering balanced healthy options to everyone.
Apache’s Wellness Program is committed to improving employee health through increased health awareness. Sally Gouck, Apache’s wellness coordinator states “the expert support from Entier is an integral part of our workplace healthy eating campaign. By working closely with Entier, we encourage people to get involved in trying new healthy options from their extensive range of nutritious foods and varied healthy menus. Apache’s “Daily Wellness Dish” provides a nutritionally balanced calorie-controlled healthy meal and assists and supports employees already following individual healthy eating plans.”
