Breakfast event: Engaging your people to make change sustainable
Date: Friday, November 20
Time: 7:30am - 10:30am
Venue: The Marcliffe Hotel, Aberdeen
Cost: Free (booking required)
The Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS) is pleased to invite you to participate in a breakfast event focused on how to develop better ownership and involvement from your people in sustainable process improvement.
The event is aimed at outlining what excellence in ‘Lean’ looks like, the application of the change model, the role of Leaders in the change process and the significance of process confirmation.
“Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it’s amazing what they can accomplish.” – Sam Walton – Founder WalMart This event will take you through the change process and emphasise how best to achieve sustainable change.
Why should you attend?
The rate of change in your business is slower than anticipated and the appetite for change isn’t quite what it should be. Any process changes achieved are often short lived and there is an expectation that these changes won’t be fully supported, with a consequential migration back to previous practices.
This workshop will explain the role of the Business Improvement Academy (BIA), delivered by the SMAS team. The BIA will offer the opportunity to integrate the tools and behaviours associated with a culture of Continuous Improvement, and deploy the learning with SMAS support focused on a specific improvement project.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to find out how you and your workforce can work together in the best interests of the business.
Who should attend?
Senior managers with people management responsibilities who are keen to secure a higher level of ownership and engagement from their staff and who wish to clearly understand and better appreciate their own respective roles in the change process.
The event has been timed to ensure you are back in your workplace mid morning, starting at 7.30am with breakfast rolls, fruit and refreshments and finishing at 10.30am. This event is free of charge, with limited places, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
You can either register via this link or by calling the team on 0845 607 8787.
