Aberdeen International Associates has recently partnered with UK event organizer Chameleon Events and will be leading two trade missions to Colombia and Chile in May of this year. Both market visits are supported by the Department of International Trade and will include a series of group meetings, site visits and B2B activity as well as attendance at a key conference to help companies learn more about developments in the region and engage with prospective partners and clients.
These missions would be suitable for all aspects of the supply chain that are looking to investigate opportunities for the export of their goods, services and technology to Latin America - particularly companies/organisations involved in the decarbonisation of oil and gas production, CCUS, Onshore and Offshore Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, and Hydrogen.
Both markets are recognised as regional leaders in the energy transition with an abundance of natural resources that can be harnessed to secure a sustainable energy matrix of the future – national roadmaps for green hydrogen production were published by both countries last year, and Colombia is due to release an Offshore Wind strategy by the end of March.
Colombia - Monday, May 23 – Friday, May 27
This mission will include a day of meetings with key stakeholders in Bogota then two days at the Colombia Energy Transition Summit. The group will then travel to the Colombian Caribbean region for Thursday and Friday which includes time in WECP partner city Barranquilla, which also has City-City and Chamber-Chamber MOUs in place with Aberdeen.
Chile – Monday, May 30 – Friday, June 3
This visit will be centred on Santiago and engagement at a city and national level around CCS/CCUS, renewable energy, and hydrogen. A four day agenda in the capital city will include attendance at the Latin America Hydrogen and CCUS Decarbonisation Summit and will be followed by an optional one day visit to the North (solar) or South (wind) of Chile.
