As night falls on April 14, 2025, Edward Obi, director of HR Hub Plus Limited and a passionate advocate for social change, will trade the comfort of his bed for a sleeping bag on the cold ground of Balmoral Stadium.

Alongside compassionate individuals from across Aberdeen, Edward will take part in the CEO Sleepout, an event dedicated to raising vital funds for those facing poverty and homelessness in the community.

From 8pm to 6:30am, Edward will experience a fraction of the harsh reality that many endure daily — a reality marked by uncertainty, exhaustion, and isolation.

"One night in the cold doesn’t reflect the relentless struggle that so many individuals and families face every day," says Edward Obi. "No one should have to wonder where they’ll sleep tonight. No child should fall asleep in fear. No parent should have to choose between food and shelter."

The CEO Sleepout is more than a fundraising event; it is a beacon of hope. Every pound raised goes towards providing warm shelter, hot meals, and the support services that can help turn lives around. Edward is calling on the Aberdeen community and beyond to stand in solidarity with those in need.

"This cause is about more than raising money; it’s about raising hope. Together, we can make a tangible difference," Edward adds.

The funds raised through this initiative will directly support local organizations committed to ending homelessness and providing essential resources for those affected by poverty.
