Local Aberdeen recruitment company, Eden Scott, is delighted to support Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) as an official partner of MINDSET, an adolescent Mental Health programme.
The support from Eden Scott will enable AFCCT to deliver the proactive and preventative programme to over 100 pupils across the city and shire. MINDSET is a programme that places less emphasis on mental health disorders and more on life skills, promoting positive mental well-being that will ultimately help the trust to deliver our vision of providing support and opportunities to change lives for the better.
MINDSET was developed in partnership with Grassroot Soccer. The programme aligns with the Scottish Government’s key aims within its Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy. As a result, it is a programme with a proactive and preventive approach to Mental Health in adolescents that has been proven to help increase young people’s knowledge of empathy and resilience.
Over the course of the 2022/2023 Academic Year, over 1,000 pupils completed MINDSET across 10 schools within the city and shire. Involving 316 academy pupils and 713 primary pupils the programme has broken down the stigmas around mental health, ultimately making it easier and more natural for the young people to speak openly about their Mental Health.
Since 2003, thousands of organisations have hired their ideal candidates through Eden Scott. With a team of over 40, they operate across three offices based in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. They support organisations predominantly across the energy/energy transition supply chain as a trusted partner in the energy transition market. With a deep-rooted understanding of the energy landscape and a proven track record in talent acquisition, they are uniquely positioned to navigate the complexities of this evolving sector.
“We are thrilled to be working in partnership with the AFFCT, specifically, the MINDSET programme", commented Lucy Nicoll, Eden Scott associate director.
"The skills and values the programme supports are crucial life skills that are key to our emerging workforce within young people and, without doubt, are invaluable within the workplace and throughout a career. The AFCCT shares our Eden Scott values of unwavering passion and delivery, which will be a huge factor in the partnership’s success going forward.”
AFCCT business development and partnership manager, Duncan Peter, said: “We are very pleased to have Eden Scott on board as a partner for our MINDSET programme. Having met with some of the team already, I know that this will be a positive partnership as we aim to deliver resilience and mental health support to more young people across the North-East in the coming year.”
