Aberdeen recruitment specialist Eden Scott have been recruiting for their own business, hiring two new starts to bolster their Aberdeen office and focus on building opportunities across a range of markets.

The Accountancy & Finance and IT sectors are both showing growth for Eden Scott and in order to develop this sector, Colyn Mole joined the team in September. A local to the North-east Colyn worked within the oil and gas sector on subsea diving communications before being made redundant. However his passion for the area and determination to help others get back into work resulted in a shift in career into the world of recruitment.

Colyn brings with him experience from Entrust People where he worked on IT and Pharmaceutical roles before making the shift to Eden Scott where he is focusing on Accountancy & Finance and IT recruitment in the area.

Following Colyn’s appointment, Robert Gordon graduate Eliska Sajdlova also joined the growing team at Eden Scott in October. Czech native Eliska travelled to Aberdeen to study at RGU and having completed a business support placement with Kongsberg Maritime was keen to remain within the area. Eliska’s HR Management degree will be put to good use as she focuses on HR and Business Support roles across the north east.

The Eden Scott business in Aberdeen remains constant and has enjoyed improved performance from 2015/16 in to the first half of 2016/17. The Eden Scott group, who also have offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast announced a £15m turnover and the maintenance of fee income across 2015/16. With the new recruits on-board they are well placed to capitalise on this success and grow the business again this year.

“While the region and industry still face challenges in numerous guises, we are seeing some positive signs across a range of industries and companies are talking to us about their recruitment plans, not just for this year but for the longer term too. I can only see our team expanding as confidence grows across the region.” Said Lucy Nicoll, Divisional Manager, Eden Scott Aberdeen.
