A luxurious four-star Aberdeen hotel is celebrating after being shortlisted as a finalist in two categories of prestigious tourism awards.
The Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel and Spa is in the finals of the Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism awards in the Best Restaurant Experience and the Most Hospitable Hotel categories.
Organised by Aberdeen City and Shire Hotels Association, the Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the regions’ hospitality and tourism sectors.
As part of Scotland’s year of food and drink, the Best Restaurant Experience category celebrates restaurants in the area offering a quality food and drink experience. Judges recognised Ardoe’s dedication to delivering an exceptional dining experience service at its award-winning Blairs restaurant. In the most hospitable hotel category, the hotel was selected for its high standard of customer service.
General Manager of Ardoe, Peter Sangster, said: “Reaching the finals of two categories in the awards is a fantastic achievement, which is great news for both the hotel and its staff. Without the dedication of our hard working team here at Ardoe, we would not be able to enter awards like this, and winning would give each member of staff the recognition they deserve.
“We are also looking forward to hosting the event here at Ardoe, which will give us the opportunity for us to showcase our skills and expertise to the guests first hand.”
Ardoe is also the sponsor for the Regional Young Ambassador category this year.
The black-tie awards evening will take place at the Mercure Ardoe House Hotel and Spa on November 27, 2015.
