For the majority of the oil producing nations in Africa, local content is a key driver to the success of foreign companies looking to access these markets. Up skilling the local work force and enabling the country and its people to benefit from the extraction and sale of its natural resources are prime considerations when it comes to the awarding of contracts. Key to the success of foreign companies entering these markets is the identification of a good quality, local, partner: one who is eligible to bid for local work and who has the desire to build their business to respond to the growing opportunities that are available to them in these markets.
Along with GE Oil and Gas, PETAN – the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria – and Scottish Development International’s (SDI) Africa office, have combined forces to arrange an evening to connect a number of specially invited Nigerian, Ghanaian, and Scottish companies who potentially have the ability to collaborate successfully and win business in these key markets. The focus of the evening is very much about bringing people together and encouraging business discussions and GE Oil and Gas have very kindly agreed to give their perspective of the markets and what they see is required for the supply chain to be successful.
Additionally, we will make space available on the night for the display of your brochures and other materials that might help others to understand better what your company is all about.
The event will take place at the ROX Hotel, Market Street, Aberdeen on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 6.30pm - 8:30pm.
