Diversity Bridge SCIO has been crowned Inspirational Charitable Organisation of the Year at the prestigious Mental Health & Wellbeing Awards 2025, held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on Friday, February 21, 2025.
This remarkable achievement comes less than a year after the charity’s official registration in April 2024. In a highly competitive category, Diversity Bridge SCIO stood out for its exceptional commitment to mental health, inclusion, and community empowerment, particularly among ethnic minority groups, refugees, and asylum seekers.
Since its inception, the charity has launched impactful initiatives that bridge cultural gaps, foster resilience, and provide essential mental health and wellbeing support. From peer mentorship programs to cultural exchange experiences, Diversity Bridge SCIO has quickly become a beacon of hope and a driving force for positive change.
Speaking on this milestone, Edward Obi, founder and bridge builder of Diversity Bridge SCIO, expressed his gratitude and vision for the future: "Winning this award is not just a recognition of our work, but a testament to the power of community, compassion, and resilience. In less than a year, Diversity Bridge SCIO has touched lives, built bridges, and created safe spaces for those who need it most. This award belongs to every volunteer, supporter, and community member who believes in our mission. We are just getting started, and this honour fuels our commitment to breaking barriers, championing inclusion, and ensuring that no one feels alone in their mental health journey."
Diversity Bridge SCIO extends heartfelt thanks to the Mental Health & Wellbeing Awards, its dedicated volunteers, and the wider community for their continued support. As the organisation looks ahead, it remains steadfast in its mission to create a more inclusive, supportive, and mentally resilient society.
