Diversity Bridge SCIO is excited to announce its new role as a member of the National Digital Inclusion Network, an initiative powered by Good Things Foundation, the UK’s leading digital inclusion charity.

As part of this network, Diversity Bridge SCIO will work to close the digital divide in North East Scotland, helping underserved communities gain vital digital skills and access to online resources.

The National Digital Inclusion Network, spearheaded by Good Things Foundation, focuses on empowering individuals with essential digital skills to enhance their lives, career opportunities, and access to services. Recognizing the gap in digital access for many ethnic minority groups, refugees, and those in rural communities, Diversity Bridge SCIO is committed to fostering a more inclusive digital landscape in the region.

Through this partnership, Diversity Bridge SCIO plans to implement targeted initiatives in Aberdeen and surrounding areas to provide free or low-cost digital skills training, safe internet access, and one-on-one support for individuals who may face challenges accessing technology. As part of the National Digital Inclusion Network, Diversity Bridge will be equipped with resources, training, and support from Good Things Foundation to make meaningful strides toward digital equity.

“We are thrilled to be part of this initiative,” says Edward Obi, Bridgebuilder at Diversity Bridge SCIO. “By joining forces with the National Digital Inclusion Network, we’re taking concrete steps to ensure that everyone in our community has the tools and skills they need to thrive in today’s digital world.”
