Affordable Scandi homewares retailer Søstrene Grene has announced its plans for three new locations in Scotland, with upcoming openings in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Later this year, the retailer - dubbed a 'mini Ikea' - will be bringing its signature ‘hygge’ inspired designs to Bon Accord Shopping Centre in Aberdeen, Waverley Market in Edinburgh and set to join its popular St Enoch, Glasgow store, a second venue is opening on iconic Buchanan Street.
Søstrene Grene has over 285+ stores worldwide and aims to open 500 stores globally by 2027.
It is undergoing a major expansion throughout the UK, with a further 50 stores are set to be launched by 2027.
The brand offers a curated selection of Scandi homewares, soft furnishings, kitchen products, furniture, gifts, crafts and children’s toys including “mini home” products. Offering stylish products at budget-friendly prices the brand is fast becoming the go-to destination for families, students and interior design fanatics.
UK Joint Venture partners, Norma Jacob and Richard Power, who run Søstrene Grene stores across Northern Ireland, Southern England and Scotland, are excited to announce the upcoming openings.
Ms Jacob said: “Following the success of our current Glasgow store, we are thrilled to announce our Scottish expansion with locations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and a second in Glasgow.”
Mr Power added: “Scotland is a key focus for us, and we look forward to introducing new and returning customers to our upcoming openings. We want to make Søstrene Grene more readily available throughout the country.”
