Dab Den win at Scottish Home Improvement Awards

Aberdeenshire-based firm Dab Den have come out on top at the Scottish Home Improvement Awards taking home the top honours as Scotland's Favourite Outdoor Leisure Company.

The Scottish public voted in their thousands to whittle down the hundreds of entrants to an elite shortlist of finalists.

The Aberdeenshire-based firm was established four years ago by architect directors Katherine and Kerr Byers. The company designs and builds extensions and luxury garden rooms that are used throughout Scotland. The firm says its customers have used them for a variety of purposes, including home cinemas, nurseries, home offices, yoga studios and garden bars.

Director Katherine Byers said: "The whole team at Dab Den are delighted to receive this award, and it is wonderful to have been recognised at a national level. Most of all we would like to extend our thanks our customers for voting for us, its very satisfying and a little overwhelming that so many of our customers went out of their way to recommended us.”

Scotland’s best builders, interior designers, electricians, kitchen suppliers and landscape firms were recognised at the national awards ceremony. The winners for the 2015 Scottish Home Improvement Awards were applauded by a 500-strong audience at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel.
