Hundreds of letters of support have been received from around the world to the staff and pupils at Cults Academy after the tragic events which unfolded last week.
Schools and individuals from Scotland, other parts of the UK and many other countries have emailed staff to let them know of their condolences.
Aberdeen City Council Leader Councillor Jenny Laing said: “The amount of support for the school family, and the wider community, has been overwhelming and will no doubt help in the weeks ahead.
“We have in place a series of measures to help pupils, families and our staff during what has been a difficult time.
“The pupils will be welcomed back to school on Monday so we can provide support, and also so we can start the process of helping them back into their studies.”
The dedicated support line – 01224 264299 – for those affected by the tragic incident at Cults Academy is open at the following times: Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Alternatively, individuals can email counsellingcults@aberdeencity.gov.uk
The flowers laid outside the school gates by pupils and the wider community have been moved to the school’s private courtyard garden so the students can view them and pay their respects on today.
