An Aberdeenshire snowsport centre has been saved from closure thanks to a public crowdfunding campaign and other help.
The Lecht warned in April that a lack of natural snow had been a hallmark of a “dire season” which had put its future in doubt.
It said it did not want “to be forced to shut down the centre” and needed people’s help to survive.
The attraction said on Monday that it now has enough money to continue.
“A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community for coming together with support, kind messages, and donations during our funding appeal,” it said.
“Your community spirit shines through the snow. We are delighted to say that with the high community spirit and support shown, additional funding has now been achieved and therefore the funding appeal is therefore closed.”
The Scottish winter sports season melted away to a disappointing end this year.
