A buoyant construction industry and the return to work as CV19 restrictions ease are two major factors leading to an upsurge in demand for leading North-east business, Goldstar Cleaning Services.

Aberdeen-based Goldstar partners many of Scotland’s major housebuilders and works with more than 600 regular clients across construction, retail, leisure, hospitality, healthcare, domestic and education sectors.

The family firm, run by Scott and Rachel Willox, is now entering one of the busiest periods in its 42-year history, as it forges new partnerships with domestic and commercial clients across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray, Inverness, and Tayside.

Goldstar’s expertise is in delivering property cleaning and maintenance services. Through the worst of the pandemic, Scott and Rachel adapted the business to meet the ever-changing needs of clients – both commercial and domestic – which has helped position Goldstar at the forefront of the region's economic recovery.

They continued to invest in logistics, technologies, and staff training during the challenges of Brexit and CV19. Crucially, Goldstar has invested in a major focus on recruitment, with a current workforce of 170 now catering for client demands and growth.

Senior Partner Scott said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for Goldstar as we take on new clients, broaden our offering to existing partners, and continue to enhance our team to cater for new business across every area of our operations.

“From CV19 misting services, through to full facilities management and janitorial services, our commercial teams are working closely with growing numbers of clients across the North of Scotland as now – more than ever – they appreciate the value of Goldstar’s ‘one-stop-shop’ approach.

“As the construction industry continues to thrive, our support for that sector remains solid. We are proud to support so many local businesses and sectors in creating the safe, hygienic premises their business demands and their employees and guests deserve.”

Goldstar’s domestic teams are also seeing an upsurge in demand as many householders re-assess priorities and begin the process of navigating new hybrid work schedules. Scott said: “Again, our domestic teams are there to take the strain and provide the level of domestic cleaning and maintenance our customers require.”

Committed to supporting a local supply chain, the Goldstar team has built a trusted reputation over more than four decades, and their philosophy on growth versus sustainability is measured and clear.

Scott said: “The quality of the service we deliver to our clients means everything to us. We all take pride in fulfilling every job to the highest standards, every time. To us, that means continuing to invest in our business to support growth and never growing beyond ourselves.

“In an increasingly competitive market, we will always be the trusted local team that remains close to our customers, listening to their needs, and always being on hand to ensure we deliver the exceptional service that is the hallmark of our brand.”

Goldstar was delighted to be named Best Large Business, for the second time, in the Trades Awards 2021.
