Cornerstone are delighted to share that they are finalists in the prestigious Menopause Friendly Employer of the Year Awards, to be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Now in its third year, the awards celebrate and recognise excellence. Nominations were judged by the ‘Menopause Friendly Independent Panel’ who looked for evidence of innovation and positive changes that had been made within the workplace.
Deborah Garlick, CEO and founder of The Menopause Friendly Accreditation said: “With renewed attention on the need for menopause friendly workplaces, I hope organisations are inspired to follow the excellent example set by this year’s awards finalists that span a wide range of public and private sector employers.”
Getting to the UK final comes hot on the heels of Cornerstone becoming the first social care provider in Scotland to be Awarded Menopause Friendly Accreditation earlier in the year. The accreditation commended Cornerstone as an inspirational and pioneering employer, changing the way people think about menopause and putting the right support in place. It was the culmination of a two-year menopause awareness project that had attracted grant funding from the Workplace Equality Fund, and support from project partners ‘The People Portfolio’.
The winning Menopause Friendly Employer of the Year award will be presented to an organisation which, regardless of its size, has embedded menopause into its culture, transforming the workplace experience for all.
