An innovative new software solution developed by former Microsoft learning and development specialists has been launched by an Aberdeen-based competency specialist.
ITB Competence Assurance has worked in partnership with Oxfordshire firm Lexonis, adapting its QuickAssess product to devise ITB’s Profiler system. It went live today (October 14) after extensive testing.
The investment in the cloud-based system is part of ITB’s commitment to offer a fully integrated competency service for clients worldwide.
Jenny Stokes, managing director of ITB, said: “The launch of Profiler is a significant step in ITB’s development. This comprehensive system will enable both ITB and our clients to efficiently track the individual competencies of employees, identify skill gaps not only in individuals but across the business, find the right people with the right skills for projects, ask the right questions at interviews and analysis the data using the its powerful reporting tool.
“Documenting competence and monitoring ongoing training and evaluation is a vital part of any business. Having the ability to upload learning material and coaching tips against each competence ensures consistency as well as saving time and money.”
“Profiler allows employees to upload evidence for assessment, greatly speeding up the process and helping to make competency a streamlined part of every client’s business. At ITB we are aware that self-assessment is still a process used in some industries, especially on soft skills such as communication. Profiler can be supplied with a suite of soft skills already built and ready to use. These can be self-assessed and verified by line managers.”
ITB is a competency and training specialist and works in partnership with a number of clients worldwide, providing tailored services to match individual requirements. The company is approved to provide OPITO, SQA and ILM training courses.
From consultancy and the provision of training and assessment to the development and auditing of competence management systems, ITB provides a fully integrated service designed to ensure compliance with legislation combined with efficiency in the workplace.
Jenny Stokes added: “Implementing an effective online system has been a key target and we are delighted to have completed the development successfully. It is a product we have complete confidence in and which has already received very positive feedback.
“The benefits to clients will be significant, leading to time and cost savings whilst enhancing standards. Lexonis, our partner company, has already sold the standard system to a range of high profile organisations and prospective future clients can be assured of a quality product with the level of support expected from a high class organisation.”
