Have you ever wondered how you could make your community a cleaner, safer and a more enjoyable place to live?

Are there issues affecting your community that you want to see addressed but you are unsure of how to go about it?

If so, why not join your local community council?

Community Councils are established to be a voice for local communities and work with the local authority and other organisations to represent the views of the area.

The role of a community council is varied across the city as each community has its own unique challenges to face and projects that are important to the area.

There has never been a better time to get involved to try to make a difference in your area as the Community Council election process is now underway.

The deadline for submitting nomination forms is fast approaching, however.

If you have a nomination form and haven’t submitted it, then please ensure it is in by 4pm on Thursday, October 1.

If you would like to find out more, contact Karen Rennie, Community Council Liason Officer, on 01224 522723 or communitycouncils@aberdeencity.gov.uk
