As 2024 draws to a close, Aberdeen-based investigation and assurance specialist COMET is delighted to announce several new clients for its flagship incident investigation and root cause analysis software.

Demonstrating its adaptability across major accident hazard (MAH) environments, COMET continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner in safety and operational excellence.

New clients include TAQA in Abu Dhabi (transmission and distribution), PX Group in Teeside (engineering and asset management), Enfinium (energy from waste), NEO Energy (oil and gas), Diamond Drilling, Dolphin Drilling (oil and gas), Forth Ports (major port operations) and Johnson Controls (FM, automations and controls).

These partnerships highlight the platform’s flexibility and effectiveness in addressing safety challenges across various industries.

CEO Mark Rushton shared his excitement about the achievement, stating: “We are delighted to prove the agnostic capabilities of our flagship product with such a diverse range of contract wins. Each represents a client leading the way in incident prevention in their chosen industries, and we couldn’t be prouder to help them build and sustain great operating and safety performance.”

This expansion follows a year of significant product development and business growth for COMET, adding a healthy six-figure value to its turnover. The company’s core philosophy that “prevention is better than protection” resonates with clients striving to anticipate and mitigate potential risks before they escalate into major incidents.

In 2024, COMET reached several key milestones, showcasing its ongoing leadership in the industry. Among these were the expansion of its global footprint through a strategic channel partnership with RIMS, a prominent safety consultancy firm based in South Korea, in collaboration with LRQA.

COMET also launched COMET Companion, an AI-powered chatbot powered by OpenAI, designed to simplify and enhance the user experience on the COMET platform. This feature provides live support to help users maximise the platform’s capabilities in incident management, investigations and RCA, and supply chain modules.

Additionally, COMET announced a partnership with Arcadis to improve EHS&S risk management solutions and joined the Discovering Safety initiative with Safetytech Accelerator, contributing to advancements in health and safety regulation in the construction industry.

These achievements represent just a few examples of COMET’s commitment to innovation and raising safety standards worldwide.

Looking ahead, COMET has ambitious plans for 2025. Rushton added: “2025 will be a big year for the business and its software products, with exciting developments on the horizon. Stay tuned for more significant news in Q1!”
