Christmas choir concerts to bring in the Aberdeen festive season

Local people will have the opportunity to bring in the festive season in style, with two Christmas Choir Concerts being held at Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom.

The city’s King’s Community Church, based on King Street, is holding two performances at the venue on Sunday, December 18 – a matinee at 3pm, and an evening concert at 6pm.

At the concerts, King’s Community Church’s very own Choir will treat attendees to a host of Christmas carols, in an array of diverse styles and song.

The church is organising the two concerts after the success of its inaugural performance at the venue last December, which saw 800 people pack in to the Beach Ballroom for the show.

This year’s event will again be free, but will be in support of two charities – global organisation Open Doors’ campaign to help the people of Syria, and local cancer charity, Friends of Anchor. A collection will be taken for the organisations at both performances.

Rachael West, who leads the King’s Community Church Choir, said: “We’re delighted to be back at the Beach Ballroom for two Christmas Carol Concerts. The performances will be full of good festive fun for people of all ages to enjoy.

“We’re particularly delighted that the events will support two great causes; Open Doors, and its work in Syria, and closer to home, Friends of Anchor.

“We’d encourage anyone interested in bringing in the festive season in style to come along.”
