Training software specialist Chorus has secured a five-figure multi-year contract with Vulcan Training & Consultancy - a leading energy training provider in Poland - to develop digital training and learning software for the global wind sector.

Chorus will deploy the new courses in spring 2025 which will add a new digital training pathway to Vulcan’s existing in-person competency and safety training programmes.

The new online materials will equip delegates with knowledge and certification to enter the onshore and offshore wind workforce.

Built by Chorus’ team of hazardous industry learning experts, the courses will be deployed on the Chorus software application, enabling Vulcan to scale its delivery of online safety training across Europe.

With a strong track record of creating tailored training and software for companies operating in hazardous environments, Chorus’ expertise will support Vulcan’s strategic shift to online training and its continued growth.

Iain Taylor, chief revenue officer at Aberdeen-based Chorus said: “I’m excited about Chorus expanding into Europe and this collaboration highlights the importance of our expertise and approach driving progress in the wind industry.

“With projections that the European wind industry will employ over 450,000 people by 2030, it’s a pivotal time for Vulcan to serve growing training demand and we’re delighted to be working on this project and playing a part in maintaining its leading position.

“We bring leading know-how to the table which directly enables new recruits into the wind industry. The contract emphasises the impact Chorus and other companies from the north of Scotland can make in the energy transition globally.”

Vulcan has positioned itself as a leading training provider in Central Europe, training over 20,000 safety specialists at its Szczecin training complex - the largest facility of its kind in the region. The company has ambitious growth plans and has already acquired other locations in Poland to meet the needs of the growing wind industry.

Lukasz Fajt, managing director of Vulcan Training & Consultancy, added: “Online training is a natural progression for us. We have some of the best training facilities in the world, including a state-of-the-art fire ground and pool complex.

“Complementing the practical experience with leading online training will support our ambitious growth strategy and help us scale faster. Chorus is an ideal partner for that.”
