Charlie House’s popular Big Build Ball is returning to P&J Live on Saturday, December 9, 2023 with a ‘carnival’ theme that is set to transport guests to a world full of spectacle and wonder.

Sponsored by engineering firm, Brimmond, proceeds from the event will help the charity further progress its Big Build Appeal - an initiative to develop a specialist support centre in Aberdeen for children with life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families.

Offering guests the chance to escape reality and step into an exuberant world of fantasy, tickets are still available for the event and cost £120 per person or £1,200 for a table of 10. On the night, attendees will be able to enjoy a drinks reception, delicious three course meal, live entertainment and an exclusive silent auction and raffle.

One of the world’s finest party bands, MADHEN, will return to entertain this year after its incredible show at the 2022 Big Build Ball. From the latest hits to crowd favourite tunes, the group is guaranteed to get attendees on the dance floor for hours.

John Brebner, CEO of Charlie House said: “This is one of our flagship fundraising events and is always one of the highlights of the year thanks to its vibrant and luxurious atmosphere, which provides a night to remember.

“We first launched the ball in 2018 as part of our Big Build Appeal, and since then have hosted three events, which combined, have raised more than £400,000 for our cause. This incredible total is down to the generous people and businesses who donate on the night, and every single donation is pivotal in helping support families across the North-east that have children with life-limiting conditions.

“With the 2023 ball just a couple of months away, we’re encouraging those interested in attending to secure tickets as soon as possible, and we look forward to seeing you there!”

Charlie House launched the Big Build Appeal in 2018 to raise vital funds for its support centre and has raised more than £5million so far.

Most recently, the charity appointed Robertson Construction Eastern as the construction partner for the build and initial works are set to commence in November 2023 with foundations expected to be laid during Spring 2024. Charlie House’s Big Build project is expected to take 18 to 24 months to complete.
