Charlie House, a leading charity organisation dedicated to supporting children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, has wrapped up its successful 'Out and About' drop-in sessions in Inverurie and Elgin, and are thrilled to announce the next leg of its 'Out and About' information sessions taking place in Peterhead.

The previous sessions proved to be an exceptional opportunity for these communities to engage with the Charlie House team in an inviting and relaxed setting. These sessions enabled visitors to discover more about the support and services the charity offers, explore accessible activities, learn about volunteering opportunities, and explore ways to contribute to fundraising initiatives.

Leigh Ryrie, Children and Family Support Manager at Charlie House, expressed her excitement about the success of the first events, saying, "The Charlie House team is thrilled by the warm reception we received in Inverurie and Elgin. We had the privilege of connecting with various individuals and families. Access to information is often the first step in families getting the support they need."

Similar to previous events, this open day is free for anyone to come along to and will provide an opportunity for visitors to meet the Charlie House team, learn about the charity's services, and discover the invaluable local support available to families, all at no cost. Attendees can also enjoy light refreshments such as teas and coffees.

In addition to all of our planned activities for the day, Charlie Dog himself will be making appearances throughout the day for a ‘Beat the Goalie’ challenge.

The details for the next 'Out and About' event taking place in Peterhead are as follows:

  • Date: Thursday, November 2, 2023
  • Time: 12 pm - 6 pm
  • Location: Peterhead Balmoor Stadium, AB42 1ES
