Commenting on the further delay to a decision on airport expansion, research & policy director James Bream said:
“We believe that this decision is wholly unacceptable, and that the UK Government is missing a golden opportunity to stimulate fragile business confidence.
“They need to grasp the nettle, make a difficult decision and get on with expansion.
“Aberdeen relies on international connectivity and decisions on our hub airport capacity are taking too long.
“Pressure is only likely to increase on Heathrow while politicians dwell on their decisions and eventually this is likely to put pressure on regional routes which are critical to our economic success.
“We urge the government to reconsider their position as a matter of urgency.”
