Carbon’s golden hat-trick

Aberdeen business Carbon has been awarded the coveted “Gold Standard for Independent Financial Advice” for the third year in succession.

Corporate director Mark Christie was presented with the award by Sir David Amess MP in the Churchill Room at the House of Commons.

Now in their 13th year, the UK awards are designed to identify financial services companies with have strong structures and procedures in place - and which are going above and beyond standard business practices.

The Gold Standard Awards not only take account of a company's capability to conduct business, but assess standards of service, financial strength, fair value and trust, as well elements such as culture and social responsibility.

Mark said: “It has been a fantastic year for Carbon and winning the Gold Standard again means we finish on a real high.

“This is not an easy award to win. We have again been recognised in London as being among the very best financial planning businesses in the UK.”

Deborah Benn, chairman of the independent judging panel, said: “This year's crop of Gold Standard Award achievers has passed a rigorous and wide ranging assessment of their capabilities to go above and beyond standard practices to meet these demands and deserve to be commended for their efforts.”
