Carbon Offsetting Alliance to benefit your business
Aberdeen based Carbon-Zero are delighted to announce their partnership with CO2balance, a global carbon finance project company.
This enables North-east businesses the opportunity to invest in global carbon offsetting projects that deliver the combined benefit of reduced carbon dioxide emissions and improving the socio-economic conditions for the target communities.
Since it is not possible to be totally carbon free in a business, any residual carbon footprint can be offset against carbon creditable projects in developing countries who do not have the means to reduce their own GHG emissions. These accredited and verified projects include Safe Water provision and Improved Cookstoves.
One carbon credit can offset one tonne of carbon which will deliver many benefits to a business at a low cost e.g.:
- First Mover advantage – there is an opportunity for a company to enhance the impact of their carbon offset work if they are the first within their market sector or locality to achieve Carbon Neutral status.
