CALA Homes’ project managers Alan Whitelaw and Fred Anderson are celebrating this week after winning a prestigious industry award.

Commended for their work at CALA’s Oldfold Village development in Milltimber and The Links at Dubford in Bridge of Don respectively, Alan and Fred have won a 2016 NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award. The awards are run as part of the NHBC campaign to reward the best site managers in the UK and are only awarded to those who achieve the highest standards in house building and site management.

Alan and Fred are two of seven CALA site and project managers to secure one of this year’s awards. The project managers are now through to the next stage of the competition, the Seal of Excellence Awards, which is presented to the top 130 site managers out of 430 awarded the Quality Award and will be announced in October.

Steve Jarvie, construction director for CALA Homes (North), said: “CALA Homes is renowned for its high build quality and attention to detail. Alan and Fred are excellent examples of two site managers who take that ideal and make it a reality. We could not be happier that their commitment and dedication has been recognised by the industry in this way.

“Both teams at Oldfold Village and The Links at Dubford have worked exceptionally hard and have created sites that really do offer home buyers the very best in new homes. Now we have the award to prove it!”

This is the eighth time Fred Anderson has received the award. Fred has also secured the Seal of Excellence accolade three times in his career. He said: “I’m absolutely delighted to win the Pride in the Job award for the eighth time.

“I’d like to thank the entire team at The Links at Dubford as they have all contributed to attaining the award. It’s a real pleasure to work with such a fantastic team.”

Alan added: “This is testament to our team’s hard work and commitment and it’s fantastic that this has been recognized through winning this award. It’s a superb achievement, not only for myself and the site team at Oldfold Village, but the entire company and reflects the outstanding quality of our developments.”
