CALA Homes kicks off two year sponsorship deal with Inverurie Loco Works F.C

CALA Homes, Aberdeen’s most upmarket major builder of new homes and communities, is showing its support to the local community as the award-winning home builder announces a two-year sponsorship deal with Inverurie Locos Works F.C.

Proving it’s the perfect match for the Scottish Highland Football League (SHFL) club, the partnership will include full stadium sponsorship as well as the local club’s strips and training kits.

The debut deal will cover the Under 17 Development, Under 19 Juvenile, Under 20 Development and the first teams throughout the next two seasons.

Founded in 1902 by workmen from the Great North of Scotland Railway and rising up from successful years in junior football, the CALA investment follows on from the sponsorship of the club’s prestigious Inverurie Locos Works FC Business Lunch.

Mike Naysmith, managing director of CALA Homes (North), said: “Supporting Inverurie Loco Works F.C. is part of our on-going commitment to Aberdeen and the surrounding area. This type of grassroots support can really make a difference to a local club and we hope the investment goes some way towards maintaining their position as one of the top clubs in the Scottish Highland League.

“We have a great relationship with the club and players and hope that the extra resources that come with the sponsorship deal will help encourage future talent to play and train at the club.”

Committee member at the club, Graeme Hay, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening our relationship with CALA Homes following a number of years of working together, and the huge part they played last year in being our first ever sponsor of our hugely successful Business Lunch.

“Like us, CALA has such a strong heritage in the area so it really is the perfect partnership and we hope the new deal signals a very successful start to the new season.

“Inverurie Loco Works F.C are very much a community driven and focused football club and have always been impressed by CALA's involvement and the importance placed on the local communities where its new housing sites are being developed.

“We look forward to a long and mutually successful relationship for both the football club and CALA.”

The first game of the season will kick off on Saturday 6 August when the Locos will play defending league champions, Cove Rangers.
