Caber Coffee welcomes MP to expanded HQ

Aberdeen-based Caber Coffee has welcomed Aberdeen South MP Callum McCaig to its newly-expanded city headquarters.

Mr McCaig visited the Holburn Street premises yesterday (Wednesday, August 26th) to view progress on a £200,000 project to increase warehouse and storage space by 50%.

The company – which expects to grow the number of people on its team in coming months – is also creating a purpose-built, hi-tech coffee machine repair and service facility, and a dedicated training/demonstration room.

Commenting on the visit, Caber Coffee managing director Findlay Leask said: “We appreciate the fact that our local MP has asked to visit our premises. We operate in a world where stories of redundancies and business closures are frequent yet, against this backdrop, we are fortunate to be investing, growing and creating employment opportunities.”

Callum McCaig MP said: “Aberdeen has a strong local SME sector, but for our city’s continued success we need more business to start up and for them to be given every support to grow and expand.

“Caber Coffee’s recent investment and expansion is example of what our city needs more of and I wish them every success.

“I look forward to working with Caber Coffee and other Aberdeen businesses to offer them every support I can, to help them to bring investment and jobs to our city.”
