Aberdeen-based Caber Coffee has announced that it is investing a six figure sum in extending its city centre headquarters.
In excess of £200,000 is being spent on increasing warehouse and storage space by 50% at the company’s Holburn Street base. In addition will be the creation of a purpose-built, hi-tech coffee machine repair and service facility, and a dedicated training/demonstration room. Caber Coffee has employed the services of fellow Aberdeen company Tinto Architecture to help deliver the project.
The move is expected to lead to the creation of new jobs in the coming months as the company steps up to embrace its ongoing growth.
Earlier this year, Caber Coffee announced that it had secured work which will bring in £1million of additional sales over the next three years.
Commenting on the investment, Caber Coffee managing director Findlay Leask said: “We moved to our current premises in 1991 and the business has experienced considerable expansion since that time.
“We have outgrown the Holburn Street facility in its present form and look forward to the completion of our new, improved HQ which will enable us to continue the business’s upward trend and correctly service the needs of our growing client base.”
