Business experts will come together with Robert Gordon University (RGU) Aberdeen Business School academics to discuss how they can grow research and identify future opportunities.

Aberdeen Business School (ABS) is hosting a dinner for its Visiting Professoriate to discuss some of the challenges facing ABS.

Editor-In-Chief of Aberdeen Journals Ltd Damian Bates; former Government minister, Scottish Lib Dem leader and Shetland MSP Tavish Scott and Hugh Little, retired Head of acquisitions at investment giant Aberdeen Asset Management are just some of a long list of visiting professors and Readers at ABS.

Professor Rita Marcella, Dean of Aberdeen Business School, said: “We are very proud of the community of Visiting Professors and the dinner is an ideal opportunity to tap into their experience and knowledge.

“The Dinner provides an opportunity for us to discuss some of the challenges facing ABS with our Visiting Professors, to identify new opportunities together and to explore ways in which we can grow our research and commercialisation.”

Professor Marcella said she is keen to discuss ways in which ABS can grow its research and commercialisation income.

She continued: “We are keen to fully utilise the knowledge and creativity of our Visiting Professors and Readers and to identify emerging areas and opportunities where we might focus our energies, moving forward.”

The Visiting Professor Dinner will be held at Howies Restaurant in Aberdeen on Thursday evening. Following the success of last year’s event, ABS is committed to making the dinner an annual event.
