Leading Scottish law firm, Burness Paull has recorded a successful three months, completing close to 50 corporate deals, worth more than £2.5 billion.
Among a number of prestigious private equity deals, the firm advised long-standing client BlueGem, owner of iconic fashion brand Liberty, in a deal that saw it team up with Jack Wills founder Pete Williams in a multi-million pound buyout of the British heritage-inspired fashion chain.
The firm also advised the shareholders of Macduff Shellfish Group in their sale to Canadian listed Clearwater Seafoods, a transaction which was recently awarded Deal of the Year at the Deals and Dealmaker awards.
Crowned Scottish Legal Firm of the Year 2017 in the recent UK Legal 500 awards, Burness Paull also represented Subsea 7 S.A. on the acquisition of Swagelining and for Lansdowne Oil & Gas plc on its recent public placing.
The firm also advised James Fisher and Sons plc in its acquisitions of Singapore-based Lexmar Engineering and UK-based Hughes Marine Engineering.
