UK top 50, and leading Scottish, law firm Brodies LLP has announced its autumn Charities & Third Sector Academy session in Aberdeen.
Kenneth Pinkerton, specialist in charity law and governance will be joined by Julie Hutchison and Gair Brisbane of LGT Wealth Management to discuss common considerations for charities in 2025.
The free, in-person seminars will take place at the firm's Union Grove premises on Tuesday, November 19 and will run from 12:30-14:00. A sandwich lunch will be included.
Together, the speakers will discuss;
- new trustee recruitment pathways for the next generation;
- round-up on OSCR regulatory reports into charities;
- what to expect from charity law and regulation in 2025; and
- a financial markets update and top tips looking at the year ahead.
Brodies Charities & Third Sector Academy is open to all individuals working or involved in the sector at all levels including, charity trustees and trustees or directors of third sector organisations, members of senior leadership teams and other professionals in the sector.
It is designed for attendees to improve their knowledge and understanding of the legal, regulatory and governance issues relevant to their organisations and the wider sector and provide an opportunity to increase contacts and discuss issues with peers.
