“The breadth of activities, programmes and areas of service highlighted demonstrate the growing impact that Sport Aberdeen has in our City. Beyond the bricks and mortar of our venues, Sport Aberdeen has a tangible impact on the lives of many people who live and work in the city.”
Sport Aberdeen’s managing director, Alistair Robertson, added:
“Looking forward, Sport Aberdeen will be delivering its new 3 year business plan with five new strategic priorities (the 5 P’s) better reflecting how we intend to achieve our vision. Staff, along with members of the Board, participated enthusiastically in helping to shape these priorities. The ideas generated highlight innovative thinking and the sense of ownership for setting the direction of Sport Aberdeen.
“In all respects the future looks really positive for Sport Aberdeen, particularly as we embark on the second phase of investment, spending around £1.8million on upgrading two of our facilities, as part of an ongoing programme of modernisation aligned within the City’s Sports Facilities Strategy 2016 – 2026.
“I am very confident that the prospects are bright, not just for Sport Aberdeen, but also sport and leisure within the city and the growing importance and impact of the ‘Active Aberdeen Partnership’ further emphasises the potential ahead.”
