Bon Accord Care, an Aberdeen-based health and social care service, has raised money to purchase much needed donations for local charity, Aberdeen Cyrenians.

Donations included tinned meals, tinned beans, soups and kettle only foods for those who have access to limited appliances or are limiting their usage due to the increased cost of living.

The team also had a re-gift a gift appeal, for staff to donate new and unused gifts such as toiletries, pyjamas and socks that would be donated to Cyrenians, which was very successful.

The initiative was organised as part of the head office Christmas activities and encouraged the team to donate after the holidays to ensure that Cyrenians received donations in January when they are typically quieter after the rush of festive giving.

In total the monetary worth of all donations collected via the re-gift a gift box and from the food purchase was £335, an incredible amount!

Aberdeen Cyrenians said: “Thanks Bon Accord Care for the thoughtful and much needed donations. From one care organisations to another, thank you for this amazing gesture of support, it makes a huge difference in the community.”
