Bon Accord is set to enliven the heart of the city centre with the addition of a colourful canopy display, the first of its kind in Aberdeen.
540 square meters of brightly coloured birds will hang across Upperkirkgate from April to October, providing a striking backdrop to help shoppers get into Summer spirit and brighten up the surroundings.
Bon Accord centre manager, Craig Stevenson, said: “We are extremely excited to bring our new striking installation to Aberdeen, as we believe it will attract visitors into the city, providing them with a stunning backdrop and making their walk around the area that little bit more fun and different.
“Organisations across Aberdeen are working together to continually make our city even better and entice more visitors, and this is one of the many ways we’re investing to support this mission.
“We have been working on a number of projects to surprise and delight our shoppers and this is one of many exciting plans, including the much visited rainbow steps, indoor beach and seasonal events which provide different reasons to visit the centre and Aberdeen City centre.”
