Blackhall & Powis, established in 2017 by John Hillis, has celebrated year-on-year success with a 110% growth rate since the start of 2023.
Blackhall & Powis assemble the land, rights in land and permits needed for the energy transition.
The recent appointment of Sophie Thornton, who takes on the position as bid and senior project manager, will further support the rapid expansion of the business, where she will lead B&P’s business development, bids and projects across the North-east of Scotland.
Sophie’s primary focus will be on developing strong client relationships across the region to ensure B&P can continue to support The Scottish Government’s target to deliver up to 20GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Peter O’Connell, COO of Blackhall & Powis, said: “Establishing our office in Aberdeen has been an important part of our business growth since the end of 2023. We’re delighted to be able to welcome Sophie to the team.
"She has quickly demonstrated her capability to take a lead role in improving our bid management and tender activity across the business, whilst enhancing our project management capability from a client delivery perspective.
"We are fully committed to continuing to invest in growing the Aberdeen team to support the energy transition.”
